Jon D.Ponder - Incarcerated since youth in NYC, Now a Resource to returning Citizens in Las Vegas

Exert from the Hope For Prisoners website - Jon Ponder thru HFP https://hopeforprisoners.org/jon-ponder/ has served nearly 3,000 clients since its inception in 2010 and boasts a 6% rate of recidivism.  Jon Ponder states “Our mission is to create a society of people who have come home from prison, who have not reoffended and who are living levels of life that most people only dream of – when we accomplish this, the people we have served can turn around and provide help to the next person facing the challenges of reentry”.  HFP is more than the name of the organization, it is a movement that began as a dream in a tiny prison cell that Jon has been able to bring to fruition and that is now making a difference in the lives of thousands – truly bringing HOPE to prisoners.  HOPE that there is an opportunity and a community that is waiting and willing to offer them a second chance.
